We topped it off with a full suite of intelligent reports + location-aware autonomous dispatch system that sends text alerts to technicians closest to the the trouble site in an increasing radius by the hour.

Ticket Monitor
We created a system that listens to new XML files on a network folder, parses it, then creates a ticket in a ticketing system. The process involved creating a PHP script that monitors the directory on the network that receives the XML files. When a new file is updated, it is read and the ticket information parsed into memory. Through a custom API, we sent this information to the database of the PHP ticketing system that our client's employees interacted with as if they're normal tickets.

We created a custom web application to authorize access to RSS feeds. The process began with adding code to detect the authorization code in the query string parameter, followed by searching the database for a matching authorization code. When there is a match, we then sent out the correct headers and content to the browser, and if there isn't, we respond with an HTTP 403 forbidden on that resource.
